What is Myko Expo? How is it different from the previous IMMC Trade Exhibitions?

The International Medicinal Mushroom and Mushroom Products Trade Exhibition (MYKO EXPO), this year with the support from the Croatian Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, is another traditional part of the International Medicinal Mushroom Conferences. These exhibitions are primarily business oriented but this year it will be, for the first time, opened to the general public. This will help spread, familiarize, and promote the basic information of medicinal values of certain mushrooms and products made from them, and inform of the economic potentials of growing and processing these mushrooms. Therefore, an accessible and attractive venue, Hotel Holiday, was chosen – and the Exhibition Opening was set for Saturday morning.
Additionally, an organized program “Perspectives and possibilities of mushroom cultivation and processing in Central & Southeast Europe” will be held, with the goal of promoting the cultivation and processing of edible and medicinal mushrooms, as a respectable economic branch.
For four days, business-oriented people and the general public will be able to attend presentations from eminent scientists and experts, free of charge. This will be followed by the free exchange of information and ideas. The themes of the day are given below:
- Why and how to cultivate edible and medicinal mushrooms
- Basic modes of processing and usage of edible and medicinal mushrooms
- Gastronomic and tourist potentials of using edible and medicinal mushrooms
- Entrepreneurial and business potentials of growing and processing edible and medicinal mushrooms.
Practical Information
Prospective exhibitors can choose from 20 preset booths (click for an image of the booth, .pdf - 75kB) and can get rooms at preferential rates in Hotel Holiday (Myko Expo Venue) and Hotel Antunovic.
To help you request a booth we are including the floor plan (.pdf - 299kB) of the MYKO EXPO venue. As you can see, there are various sizes available and, if the total number of exhibitors will permit, we can join two together for a bigger booth. The price for 4 days is 100€/m2, and includes a basic setup (lamp, bar stool, electrical plug, shelf, info table and signboard). Additional equipment can be rented for a small fee, so if you need anything please contact the Conference Organizing Committee (immc6.loc@gmail.com). To pay for your booth, please continue to payment.
